Stagelinq protocol API availability? (Part 1)

Did you put in your username? Can you send a screenshot I should be able to test your username.

Paipy

Yeah looks like you donā€™t have any playlists yet: Paipy - Serato DJ Playlists

You can start one from Serato and once it shows up on their playlists page it should work.

It seems my playlists are only visible to me and seratoā€¦ why?

Ah yeah you just need to set them to public: How To Use Serato DJ Playlists

You can set under ā€œEdit detailsā€ on the right

erik was faster

Awesome!! Looks great!

FYI for others here with a MCX8000, we couldnā€™t get the StagelinQ protocol / code working with this setup so we went the Serato route. If anyone else has a MCX8000 to test let us know, but the Serato Live mode in unbox is the preferred method for now.

Hey man! you did a great job! I tried to test the preview and it seems to work perfectly. The name of the track changes when I turn up the master of the deck that is entering. Really awesome! Donā€™t run away though, in the next few days Iā€™ll ask you for some little more info for the graphics ;-), but now the important thing is that it works. Next Thursday your method will be online in my radio show!

EDIT: I am currently testing. Can I make a further small request? Can you select a delay for the entering track? If I understand how it works, the name of the track is captured from the Playlist as soon as the volume is raised (even slightly), but the mixing time is generally longer (at least in the Trance style).

Great to see youā€™ve got it sorted @Paipy

Iā€™ve been watching every move of this and @erikrichardlarson is an absolute legend for his help and wisdom. For somebody that didnā€™t originally specialise in the Denon DJ players to suddenly get it thrown at him, heā€™s been one of the most helpful and engaging members of the community.

Amazing.

I agree. Erik, in addition to being truly phenomenal in being able to solve the problem in a very short time, proved to be really great also from the point of view of kindness and availability. I was really lucky to find it. I hope to be able to repay .

Yeah we can add a delay in here, let me take a look at the code and see what I can do

Hi Mate, I am calmly testing UNBOX with my Denon MCX8000 and Serato in Live mode and I can confirm that it works really great, so thank you again.

If possible, can I give you ideas to further improve this fantastic service?

In addition to setting a delay as we said yesterday, it would be really great if you could do some fading transactions between the various captions. Furthermore, it would be very convenient to be able to insert the ā€œitalicā€ option; in the example I uploaded to you, I use it a lot to indicate the label. Here, this is the graphic work I had to do before each of my Photoshop shows: complete captions and I had to follow the lineup. Youā€™ve made my life so much easier!

If you want to make these changes it will be really crazy! Do not rush

Great to hear, ohhh I really like this mockup, Iā€™ll add an ā€œitalicā€ overlay option that will look like this. And the transitions are definitely something Iā€™m adding, the plan is to fade out in sync and fade in from the left. I think Iā€™ve figured out the delay too so Iā€™ll add that in with these updates. Thanks for the feedback!

Hi again @erikrichardlarson It wonā€™t let me upload a picture of how the network cables are connected to the X1800 because it says that new users canā€™t upload anything. SC5000 connected to mixer switch and network cable also to the mixer

No worries, are you on windows or mac?
