Metalic or painted logo

I have just bought 2 Denon turntables VL12 that arrived today and one of them have “Denon DJ” (logo) written with metallic letters on the lower left side of the pitch. The other one has the logo painted in white at the same place… it there any difference between the to turntables… different model-year or something?

Hi @Tjajo, welcome to the forum!

I remember this was also the case with the SC5000’s. Pure cosmetic and not a major manufacturing date difference. However, I can imagine one would rather have the exact same look…

I had the same thing.- got my 3rd SC5000 from the US, and it had the silver logo, whereas my others, purchased in the UK, had the painted logo. It affects my OCD so much that when I replace them with SC6000’s, the serial numbers must be sequential.

Its stops getting iritating after a few years - or so I am lead to believe!
