Just got a new MC 7000, I originally had an NS6 running OS 10.12.5 on a Macbook Pro. I unboxed the 7000 registered the unit then plugged in hooked up the music drive and tried opening Serato, Serato opens but it does not see the 7000 I checked both USB ports as I set the to USB 1
Is there something I’m missing here?

Search for a article on Serato webpage on what to do when SDJ cannot connect to your hardware. This has nothing to do with MC7000, happens with all SDJ hardware.
I figured this out as I had a previous version of the software and had to delete all files restert and then I re downloaded the software and it works fine.
