im planning on buy a set of sc5000m’s but wanted to find out something 1st. i looked in the owners manual online and see how to link two units together by link cable to share music off one external source. hard drive, sd card, flash drive, etc,etc but i use VDJ and like alot of features in it that i use. so my Question is using the link cable in computer mode will my laptop see both units ? reason im asking because my laptop only has 2 usb ports (and no i dont really want to be adding an usb hub LOL) just want to plug my mixer into one usb port & one sc5000m into the other usb port & just link the 2nd unit. can anybody using a laptop confirm that you can just plug in one unit into the usb port and link the other one ?
Not exactly. But you can do the same thing by pluging one SC5000 into the laptop using a usb cable and plugging the other SC5000 into the back of the first one also using usb cable (daisy chaining).

Yea it works that way.
The 5000m have a built usb hub
You can plug the 5000 into the second 5000 via USB
