Engine Prime Fails?

Hello,

i am a new owner of a Prime 4.

Is it possible to see the BAR Position like in Traktor. For Example ur Track is on 1:00 (paused) and u take ur Mouse to 16 Bars behind the Point u can see a “+16 Bars”. Its a nice feature in Traktor.

And the Engine Prime is able to take my Traktor Collection. Nice! But the Software don’t take the right Colours! Serato and Rekordbox take the right Colour for Example. Can I change it automatically?

I am right when I am saying its not possible to synch new Cues from the Controller to Engine Prime? The other way is good, it works! But I don’t get it to synch it from Controller to Engine Prime… :frowning:

I am sorry when I am wrong here in this section.

If the songs were transferred to P4 smart console “controller” with Engine Prime, if you add new HoTcues on the P4 you can sync it back to your main collection

Just use the sync manager

The right panel showing your P4 storage will show you that you have information to sync back to main collection.

That worked, thank u. Do u have Solutions for the other issues?

Not possible in Engine OS

Maybe Traktor is not making this information available. But i will test and get back to you!

TRAKTOR Software does not seem to have user defined Hot Cue colour

@NoiseRiser is the Traktor specialist around this ends

The hot cue markers have “special” colors (other than blue) if you change them from Hotcues to “Mix In”, “Mix Out points”.

I’m guessing Traktor is not making this data available in the NML database that EP uses for its conversion.

Traktor does send the proper signals for the hot cues, beat markers, stored loops leds and Denon can reproduce them.

Traktor does not know which controller leds or the colours that will come up because the user has to tell Traktor what it is.

If you use Traktor pm me and I’ll give you a tsi to try and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Denon can make this happen.

Ok, but Serato and Rekordbox can do this. The Colours are the same like Traktor. Maybe its not possible because its only a Datasystem and not a DJ system like SER an RB.

This is true. Traktors hot cue colors represent different types of hot cues White - beat marker Blue - hot cue Green - loop start point Orange - mix in/out marker

Traktor can send this data via midi in a 8 bit way (128 states - 0-127). So depending on the type of Hot cue it is possible to send to a controller an information that this type of hot cue is equal to value (let’s say) 92 - Your controller will understand this value and spit out a color (let’s say) Blue. Denon SC5000/6000 have this implemented and also have couple of states of dimmed colors. So we have actually 8 colors + white and couple of dimmed states of the same colors. It’s up to the programming person (creator of the midi mapping) to decide what signal traktor will send to the controller and what color will You get.

@Wyley1 also can help with midi mapping - I noticed that he understands a lot.

I can help but I will be available a bit later today. If someone wants- shoot me a direct message - I will be happy to help.

In SER and RB its possible to import the same Colours. Maybe its possible one time  Thank you!

No. But it is possible, it just requires more effort from both inmusic and Traktor.

Not really much effort… The just need to say YES…

I understand u Right? With Midi Mapping its possible to export the Colours?

Not export - just assign colors of the buttons on midi controller to functions in traktor. Depending on the controller You have, you can have some led’s light up or not, and in some colors…

No, I’m demonstrating that the colours can be imported over to engine if engine and Traktor work on it a bit.

Traktor does store data about cue point types.

Also I think it would take Denon less then an hour to map key changing to their pads.
