Just a quick question, I am currently using a RB enabled USB. Is it better to start maintaining an Engine Collection. Is it easy to bring the RB 6 collection over. TIA Mark

Yes, the import is done directly from Engine Prime. However, if you make changes using E.P., you will no longer be able to return to R.B. So there are two solutions:

  1. Always use R.B. for changes and then always import libraries from R.B. in E.P. so then you can use the tracks on the PRIME hardware.

  2. If you no longer need to use R.B., then it is better to import all the libraries into E.P. and then forget R.B. You will work solely with E.P.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, it depends), you must know that E.P. is not at the same level as R.B. as it is just a library manager and editor for Hotcues and Loops. Surely E.P. it’s easier to learn than R.B., but it doesn’t do the same thing.

Currently You can’t import data base from Rekordbox 6. Pioneer changed the database system from version 6.

I have just imported from RB 6? its all there.It looks like the broken xml export has been fixed in 6.4

Export whole database was changed back to being available in rekordbox 6 about 2 weeks ago. Pioneer we’re getting a lot of unhappy comments about their suicidal decision to prevent database export, so maybe they saw the light and re-enabled the feature.
