Hi All, Im a newbie so bear with me. Just bought a used mc4000 from a friend for a good price. There is a slight crackle on the master volume when you turn it past half way (i did know about it before i bought it but it was cheap) Its not a major big problem., but anyone know if there is an easy fix? I looked on the net and seen topics about electrical contact spray but im not sure if i want to remove the cover to get to the pot. apart from that its an amazing controller though, far better that pioneer ddj sb2. thanks in advance
Unfortunately, replacing the master volume control is the only way of curing it long term.
Switch cleaner will cure it temporarily but when the benefits of the switch cleaner wear off in a few weeks, the crackles will come back even worse than they are now.
