I have a usb stick in player 1 (SC5000), analysing tracks is pretty quick from that player. Is it normal for the 2nd player to take longer to analyse tracks?
If the USB stick remains in the player 1 I would say yes.

why would this take longer? transferring the data from player 1 to player 2 could be done in seconds, assuming an average 12MB mp3 file.

That’s a good question.
I don’t experience a difference that’s noticeable. Could test it though, but there are few tracks not already analyzed by a computer.
I do notice a difference with 1.5TB of music on 2TB drives that are unanalyzed with only a database created.
