USB, SD or SSD

Hello all,

I’ve recently converted to Prime Units (SC5000ms + X1800) from a Controller.

What’s the fastest medium for getting music on the units? Should I use a USB, SD or SSD?

Advice welcome. I simply want the quickest way to get my crates onto an external drive to plug into the SC5000…USB, SD or SSD?

Whatever is fastest on your computer, isn’t it?! That’s where you want speed. On the player it is of somewhat lesser concern.

So logical choice is SSD. And you want to take that drive with you, so first choice is an external USB3 SSD.

Second option is a fast USB stick.

Third option a fast SD card.

All depends on how much tracks you absolutely need to carry around with you.
