Am I the only one that has noticed the tempo/bpm display fluctuating while a track is being played, and the pitch/tempo slider/control is NOT being touched. I downgraded to 1.5.2, and the issue/“feature” goes away. I would stay on 1.5.2, but I recently also noticed that some tracks slow down to about half speed randomly, and this does NOT happen in 1.6.2 with the same tracks. I converted a file from AIFF to WAV and the issue went away in 1.5.2, but I’m not willing to convert all my AIFFs to WAV. I like seeing the artwork which is embedded in the AIFF.
That’s because of flexible beat grids, it’s expected behaviour.
If you don’t want flexible grids on any of your tracks, reanalyse your collection in Engine Prime.
This will overwrite any previous grids and give you a straight grid with constant BPM.
