[SOLVED] Facebook (or other platform) live stream in stereo mode from PC using Denon DJ MC4000 (or other equipment)

Hello everybody, what’s your favourite way to live stream your dj sets on Facebook or other platforms using your DJ controller?

I’ve watched some tutorial about the topic, like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7TJ7mxJ2Bw

The guys uses the Rode SC4 TRRS to headphones adapter (http://en.rode.com/accessories/sc4) + an RCA to mini-jack cable in order to transmit the audio signal from the controller to his smartphone.

This way he’s able to livestream directly from the phone to Facebook Live Stream.

This solution has one disadvantage: the audio is streamed in mono mode, has smartphones and PCs can only source the audio in mono from their built-in microphone mini-jack plug.

As a psytrance DJ (psytrance has many spatial effects - but I assume this is true also for other electronic genres) this flattens the resulting audio steam.

So the question is: is there a way to transfer the audio to the pc in stereo mode?

One solution I was thinking about is to use an external sound card + a specific software to transfer the audio to the PC via USB and then use OBS (https://obsproject.com/) to live stream it.

Looking forward to your suggestions. Thank you Antonio

I always used OBS with a macbook and a usb sound card for streaming. It is the best solution, You can have multiple scenes, and addings like Your logos showing up on the screen and using multiple cameras.

Hello NoiseRiser, thank you for the answer.

What USB sound card would you suggest?

Thank you

Any Generic one is fine, I used Zomo 2channel sound card, NI Audio 8 and Audio 10, Denon Dj X1600 mixer as sound card, or X1800. All is good for that purpose. Most of the time even the cheap and simple sound card does the job good enough.

Ok, thank you very much for your help. Bye Antonio
