I was wondering if there is any way to change the pitch control slider range (8,16,100%) on the fly without having to visit the utility settings.

@NoiseRiser thank you, do you have any idea why sometimes when the sync is enabled this is locked ?

Yes, because of Soft Takeover - you need to move the pitch fader to it’s original position to get it working. This is to prevent sudden big tempo jumps during mixing. The green arrow next to pitchfader will indicate which direction to move the fader to get it to work again, when sync is off. You can check this also in the manual.
