Prime 4 Mixer Effects - External Line Sources

Hi,

This might be a silly question but I haven’t seen any clear information online but I’m wondering if I connect line level sources into the Prime 4 mixer like a TR8 Drum Machine, turntable, cdj etc. will all the sweep fx and beat fx from the mixer work normally or do these only work when running an “internal” source through usb/ssd?

Any information would be a great help.

Hi Denon DJs! First post here. I’ve got back into DJing after a long gap. Last time I was DJing, I was using vinyl. What you can do now with this new gear is amazing. I’ve pre-ordered the Prime 4 and have a couple of questions about it: I see that it comes with 14 effects. How can I add to that if I would like more/different ones? Thanks very much for that. From what I can gather from that so, only the filter will work from the Sweep FX which is a bit disappointing but if someone could clarify (from Denon or user testing) that the beat fx work with external sources, that would be great!

There is an adhoc way to do this but I don’t know if the results will be usefull.

The prime4 has a zone output for channel 4. From there you can hook up an effector and route back to any other input to the mixer.

I don’t think this would work as an actual s/r but you can route audio this way.

Maybe someone with a Prime4 could try this and see if it is of any good use

No, not realy, only when use spare channel!

Plus filter works all the time, doesnt metter did u turn on or of sweep effect, its still work!
