Playlists vs. Crates - What is the difference?

As the subject suggests, what is the actual difference between the two besides the naming?

When the prime launched Playlist was a fixed list i.e the way you list the music you couldn’t re-sort. Think of it as a planned set.

That was the difference but I think they now allow sorting of tracks in playlists as well.

Crates are crates, you can sort anyway e.g. by key, bpm etc.

What mufasa said, and also, you can double drop tracks in playlists, in crates it will only hold one ‘copy’ of each track.

Thank you. That is actually really cool. I will definitely be taking advantage of locked sorting.
