Which iPhone are you using? Different phones have different connectors.
What is the “correct adapter”? Web link. Model/part number. If it’s the i-XLR, that’s for connecting mics to the iPhone, not line level master outputs!

Please answer the questions and provide info on what the problem is, and exactly what equipment you’re using.
You want help, and not providing the needed info to help You will not get You anywhere. And insulting the user that wants to help will only make things worse for You. Be polite and answer the questions, so people can see better Your situation and provide accurate help. No one’s a wizard and reads minds here. Provide info needed for help in nice manner or don’t expect anybody to be helpful.
