Loose Motor Spindle/Motor plate Wobble in M

Hi I just received 4 SC6000M units all with free play movement in the spindle and motor plate assy. This is present without the platter installed, but more noticeable when the platter is installed.

I also went to another store and the 5th one I tried had the same issue.

All serial numbers fell in between 01600-01950 as in the last 5 numbers

Can everyone who has an M check to see if they have this free play ? You can place two fingers on opposite sides of the platter and try to rock it forward to back and side to side. Very little pressure is needed to see if the unit has this play.

Hi @DjAluzion - Thanks for sharing this with us. In regards to what you’re experiencing. Some platter movement side to side is to be expected. The technical support team has reviewed the videos you shared and everything looks to be within the expected tolerance. “To be within the expected tolerance” means that this does not affect performance in any way and is not expected to progress over time.

If you have anymore questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Thank you!
