Internal hard drive or usb? or both

Setting up Prime 4 for first time use.

This is a unit for home djing only.

I keep my music on a Mac which is remote from the Prime 4; I also update on to ipad.

Which is recommended given my set up - an internal hard drive as well as a USB drive for updates. Or just a high capacity and speed USB drive?

I recommend a good USB3 stick: it is more practical to update the playlists, or to import the songs to listen. On the other hand, if you use an internal HDD or SSD, you will need to have the console and PC close to you in order to transfer data via the USB cable.
