Hey Denon Family, on my last show Yesterday my denon prime 4 had an issue with Tidal Music service. I have selected a Track an than the download speed was so slow i have played 3 Tracks from the internal SSD after that the Download waas complete. With my internet i have no issues everything works fine. Can anyone help with this issue ? I tried beatport and there was no problem Tracks loaded so fast like light speed but Tidal not.

Hey Robby,
At tidal there can be an server issue. So you have limited download speed. But you can try, when download speed is very slow, that you disconnect from your wifi, and reconnect. Sometimes this can speed up the connection again.

Manchmal kann es sein, das es Probleme mit dem Tidal Server gibt. Es hilft dann, einfach die WLAN Verbindung zu kappen, und sich nochmal neu einzuloggen. Wie bei jedem Internet Provider, kann es auch mal bei Streaming Services zu Problemen kommen.

das habe ich schon versucht, wie gesagt über Beatport läd er so wie er soll. Nur bei Tidal nicht seit gestern. Ich habe mich auch schon abgemeldet, cache geleert etc. Hat nichts gebracht selbst über LAN kabel hab ich es versucht aber nix zu machen.
Wie viele Titel hast Du auf der Platte ? Sind es mehr wie 20k ?
Wenn ja, mach mal folgendes: Nimm eine SD Karte / Oder USB-Stick und formatier diessen mit exFAT. Bevor Du dann einen Tidal Track spielen willst, wechsel kurz zum leeren USB Stick/SD Karte.
Wenn es dann schneller lädt, sag kurz bescheid.
Bitte auch Firmwareversion angeben. Gruß Dark.
How many Tracks do you have on your drive ? Are it more than 20k ? If you have more, please do this before playing:
Please format a fresh pen-drive or SD-card with exFAT. Before you play a track from tidal, change to the empty drive. Then you change back to tidal, and choose your track.
Please write back if this worrks. Please with firmwareversion and trackcount.

IMPORTANT: All TIDAL users must update to v1.6.2 soon to avoid disruption. Previous versions will stop connecting to TIDAL servers once the upgrade grace period has expired.

After a short test, I can confirm that the update has clearly eliminated the download problem, at least for the songs I checked that had problems before (Prime 2, OS 1.6.2).
Hey also ich habe das update drauf auf dem Denon Prime 4. Aber unter den einstellungen zeigt er mir aber immer noch ab das er auf 1.6.2 updaten will obwohl er es schon gemacht hat. Bei Tidal läd es nachwievor langsam. Bin ratlos.

Okay, thats bad. At normal with 1.6.2 the problems should be solved. But, at the moment there are also some problems with internet connection points, so this could also be a possible issue.
Okay, das ist jetzt schlecht. Normal sollte das Problem mit 1.6.2 behoben sein. Aber es gibt im Moment auch noch ein Problem mit Internet Knotenpunkten, das könnte auch noch ein Problem sein.
Und Robby: Versuch bitte nochmal vorher von Festplatte aus SD Karte zu wechsel oder auch nen leeren USB Stick. Wenn du dies dann ausgewählt hast, wechsel direkt zu Tidal. Ist es dann schneller ?

Hi DjDark, Bei mir genau das gleiche …Tidal lädt die ersten 2 sekunden superschnell, dann wird es richtig langsam und kann bis zu 3 Minuten dauern bei einer 100K DSL Leitung …??? Soundcloud hingegen in 7 Sekunden jeden Song geladen im Streaming ?? was kann das sein??? Habe die SC 6000…eine SSD intern drin formatiert in Fat 32 …auch schon ausgebaut…, wieder eingebaut, immer das gleiche Problem…;((((…Player 1.6.2…Version…2x aufgespielt …mhhhh Danke für eine Antwort
Bevor du auf Tidal zugreifst … wechsel mal auf eine leere SD Karte oder USB Stick als speichermedium. Und dann direkt von der SD Karte/USB Stick zurück zu Tidal.
Es scheint ein Speicherproblem zu sein … mehr kann ich noch nicht sagen. Aber wenn man vorher ein Laufwerk auswählt wo nicht viele mp3´s drauf sind, geht es.
Und ganz wichtig: Version 1.6.2 Installieren. Es gab auch noch ein update zu einem login problem von tidal.

Also ich hab bei meinem Denon nu das Problem das er andauernd sagt das es eine neue Version gäbe. Hab 1.6.2 drauf aber er sagt Tortzdem es wäre ein neues Update da und dann steht da aber auch wieder 1.6.2. Krieg das auch nicht weg. Was kann ich da tun ? Tidal ist immer noch so lala ab und an läd mal n Lied schnell dann wieder langsam, trotz der versuche die du mir vorgeschlagen hast.
Das Updatefenster kannst du erstmal ignorieren (auf nicht mehr anzeigen klicken). Das ist leider auch noch ein Bug. Tidal wie gesagt, immer wenn du es nutzt kurz vorher auf sd karte schalten. Es wird hoffentlich bald Besserung kommen …

Danke dir erstmal Dark. Bei mir weiterhin auch sehr sehr langsam, trotz deiner Tips…leider…;(((( direkt von einem leeren Stick zu Tidal gewechselt, hilft leider nicht… Wie gesagt, bei Soundcloud …alles megaschnell…Teilweise unter 3 Sekunden …
