Was this ever figured out. ???
I’m on 1.4.1 on both players and player 2 says already up to date, and player 1 says update available.
This is really weird. What I would like to know is how in the world do players know wether an update is available with WiFi off???
I’m still not 100% positive, but I think the Engine Prime software includes a file to let the player know there is an update available. It also seems the player with the drive directly connected to says there’s an update available, while the other player networked to the drive already thinks it’s up to date already.
That makes sense but it said there was an update available when I took it out of the box and nothing was connected to it.
I found out how to fix it!!! (Player 1 was showing update available)
I flashed player 1 down to 1.4.0, then I power cycled the played and flashed it back up 1.4.1…
That fixed the message and now both players say up to date.
That should be the fix.
Yeah, that I can’t explain. These players are probably smarter than us.
