EQ-ing an incoming track

Apologies if this has been covered before.

I want to know how you guys are setting EQ levels before bringing tracks in. Obviously there’s no independent line indicators for each channel, only a master one. Want to make sure my levels are uniform at a gig!

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

My routine is as follows:

Set eq for incoming track to all zero Cue track in headphones Beatmatch Set gain of the track to match the currently playing track(s) EQ incoming track to be where I want it to be. Start mixing in with input fader.
