Would be realy nice if each layer would have a diferent search engine…

Well, someone asked for linked search and browsing across decks, so I suppose what might work is another icon or the same icon morphing between three states of 1) no linked browser/search (completely different on each layer), 2) linked layers on that deck only (current default), and 3) linked across decks. Each deck would have its own icon. All decks that are set to Link Across Decks would share their browsing/search screen, and any decks that aren’t that selection would do their own thing. In the meantime, though, a lot of people would be thrilled if it’d just remember your search, the results, and your place in that list if you accidentally moved from search to the folder view and back.
