Let’s say I dont own a laptop. I just want to plug my usb’s into the controller and start mixing. Is this possible on this controller and if so does it limit my options??

If it is possible to do it, when you analyze the memory with engine (on a laptop) the driver takes less time to load the track, but there is no problem in using it without having a PC, if I remember correctly, the only thing that happens is that it does not show you bpm but if it’s not important to you because it mixes perfectly with your ears then there’s no problem
