I recently aquired a Denon DJ VL12 TT, The cueing mechanism dropped the tone arm too quickly. I purchased some silicone damping fluid, more like goo. i removed the access cover to add the fluid, when i lifted the cover , two small screws fell out, one i discovered how to reinstall, the other small spring I have no clue on how to reinstall it. Due to this glitch im unable to use this awesome TT. the sound is way better than my mint sl1200 mkii with the same cartridge, i was shocked at the improved sound stage and bass extension. I’m anxious to get the VL12 back and running properly. The silicone damping fluid corrected the fast drop of the tonearm.
