Not necessary. DJ software generally has a keyboard mapping, so you can load, cue, start, stop, scroll etc. without using the touchpad. Basic controllers (i.e. DJ2GO) are very cheap and ideal for emergencies.
You could try the same fix that allowed me to get rid of the C Drive corrupt error that I received.
A user told me to delete the engine prime folder and re-import my collection. this was painful, you may not have to go thru all that as I assume your ssd installed in the prime is not the only copy of your collection and you synced it to the drive from else where. I would make a copy of the engine prime folders on your drive just in case, prior to deleting them from the ssd and allowing engine prime to recreate them. then just sync your tracks again to the ssd afterwards. This is what worked for me.
