Whats the best and stable format to use for lossless audiofiles. I encountered some corrupt M4A files, so i’m considering converting them. I run all my files through “Platinum Notes” for consistent output levels , or shouldn’t I? There I can choose between those 3 formats.
I haven’t had any issues with the ALAC/AIFF formatted files I’m using in Prime. If you mainly use a PC, you may want to look at FLAC, if you’re mainly a Mac user, look at ALAC/AIFF.
alac or flac since they feature a lossless compression. with aif or wav you’re wasting space and more data has to be read/written for analyzing and such
