updater not recognizing downloaded update

just plugged in my new mc7000 as per update instructions having downloaded the mac os high sierra update and the denon updater is not recognizing the update fie. How do I unplug without damaging my controller? Is there another update out there? Desperate, thanks

Hey thanks for trying to help. Finally got in contact w Denon customer service over the phone-I didn’t realize that I had to use the updater to open the firmware and not utilities. Finally worked!!!
