After updating to Engine Prime, all my crates are gone at startup. They sometimes appear when i create a new crate. Another issue i have is a massage appearing at startup saying: “is incompatible with Engine Hardware Reformate the drive in FAT32 or ExFat to use.”
But there are no Usb drives or something connected to the computer.
Maybe someone can help
Have any 3rd party apps manipulated the files or structure ?
No just updated to 1.1. No other programs used. Everthing was working fine before.
Hey Distorterz: Die Fehlermeldung kommt bei wegen folgendem Problem: Der Sata Controller erkennt deine interne Festplatte als Wechseldatenträger, das kommt davon das du bei deinem BIOS die Festplatte als HotPlug aktiviert hast, und deshalb als solcher eingebunden wird als Wechseldatenträger. Lösung: Gehe in dein BIOS und stelle bei deinem SATA-Controller die HotPlug funktion aus, kann auch sein das du das Gerät nicht mittels UEFI starten könntest. Lösung 2: Windows -> Geräte Manager -> Suche deine HD/Controller -> Rechte Maustaste -> und mit Glück hast du eine Konfigurationsreiter Option wo du genau diese “Hot Swap” Funktion deaktivieren kannst. Lösung 3: Du hast mehrere Controller auf deinem Mainboard, sprich 2 z.B., oder mehr Festplatten, und du hast nur bei einem Controller die möglichkeit diese Ootion anzuwenden, dann kannst du nur versuchen die HDs suf einen anderen Controller zu schliessen bei dem es die oben genannten möglichkeiten gibt,…
Ich hatte selbriges Problem - Das ist kein Bug von Prime sondern die endliche erkennung von externen SSDs wie bei mir der Fall mit 1.0 war wo er meine SSD für Primeplayer nicht erkennen konnte! Mit 1.1 funktioniert dies nun endlich.
Ich habe 6 HDs und davon 2 von Marvell Controller (Der HotPlug nicht deaktivieren konnte) auf den JMicron Controller umgeschlossen, bei dem ich im EFI-BIOS die möglichkeit habe zu deaktivieren.

To forwards to the “Lost of Crates” issue you have, are happens only if Prime detects your internal harddrive as a “Hot Plug” drive like on USB Pens…
Deactivate this like i wrote above in the German Thread
In Engine appear this “Is incompatible…” Dialogue only if your PC will see your Harddrive as an “Removable” Device like USB, and then Engine CANT look in your database what are done finished and analyzed jet!
You just can Cancel the Dialogues of errors, than put some new songs in Engine and then he will read your “Lost” Crates you have already done, because you cancel the Error, put a song in Engine, the Programm finds the already finished database you done on the “Incompatible” drive and read it. Thats why your Drive are formatted to NTFS and not ExFAT/FAT32.
its a bug but its not in self time, its just to make external HD/SSDs working now with 1.1.
Hey, ja danke für den Tipp. Habe aber leider keine Möglichkeit gefunden “hotplug” zu deaktivieren, weder im bios noch so im Hardwaremanager. Etwas schade, aber auf meinem Macbook läuft die 1.1 version einwandfrei.
Hey, yes, thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I have not found a way to disable “hotplug”, neither in the bios nor in the hardware manager. A pity, but on my Macbook 1.1 version runs perfectly.
hotplug is only available when the SATA Controller is working in AHCI mode. Maybe you Need to check if AHCI is activated or not. If not - be careful - Windows will not start anymore if installed without AHCI mode and AHCI is activated afterwards. There are instructions on the web how to Change to AHCI mode without reinstall Windows.
Also - Vorsicht ist geboten… lol
